After producing the prototype and the samples, the next step in the process begins: production. You may think that it is only now starting, but actually most of the work has already been done. Once everything is clear, it’s just a matter of preparing everything for serial production. The appropriate materials, the perfect last and the most beautiful patterns have already been chosen. What happens next?

How do we start?

We start by discussing the practical matters such as the price and the number of runs. We can produce from a very low run of 300 pairs per model. We come to an agreement on the materials and all the supplies for the production and even already think about the packaging. We can make the production, the materials and the packaging as sustainable as the customer wants it to be. Once we are in agreement, production begins: in Europe!

We make the journey to our partners

Our production usually takes place in Europe. Several companies are stationed here with whom we have enjoyed working for many years. Thanks to our broad network, we have a partner who is specialized in each job. Our partners can be found in Italy, Spain and Portugal, among other places. If we look at the production of technical sneakers, we work with our partners in Asia. This is because the experience and expertise in producing sneakers made from high-tech materials is higher there.

Regular checks

The production is carefully monitored by our local partners. During these checks, the quality of the materials and the progress of the process is examined. Because we have been working closely with our colleagues abroad for years, there are no language barriers or cultural differences. It goes without saying that we only work with partners who give priority to good working conditions. Because our focus is on robotization, we are at the forefront of efficient and modern shoe production.

Sustainability comes first

In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to sustainable production. At Van den Breekel, we find sustainable production very important. If possible, and of course with the customer’s approval, we therefore always prefer to go for sustainable options. This applies to the materials, companies working on solar energy, but also to transport. Even if our customers do not ask for it themselves, we like to come up with sustainable, replacement options. Thinking along with this can be an added value when it comes to change in the production world.
